Fundraiser evening brings generous donations to the Anni Hofmann Foundation
„Give to LIVE“ – Under this motto, the Anni Hofmann Foundation organized in the persona of the chairman of the board, Dr. Harald Wack a fundraiser evening. With the foundation, named after the partner of the company founder Dr. Oskar K. Wack, the Wack Group has been committed in medical research on glioblastoma, an aggressive and currently incurable brain tumor.
Dr. Harald Wack, initiator and host of the evening, was overwhelmed by the generous willingness to donate and thanked for a total donation amounting to a record-breaking 100,000 €. “We managed to organize a very successful fundraiser, the first of its kind in Germany. My big thanks go to all supporters and sponsors of our mission in the fight against this terrible disease.”
The two renowned scientists Prof. Dr. med. Rainer Glaß (Neurosurgical Research, LMU Munich) and Prof. Dr. med. Manfred Westphal (Director of Neurosurgery at the University Hospital Hamburg-Eppendorf) reported on current projects and research successes on glioblastomas.
